Regarding level 3 abilities, all of them pretty much do the same thing in early game, which is giving you a bit of time to upgrade your defences when the opponent sends mroe threatening eco, allowing you to invest more in eco in the meantime. You are pretty much saying "hey Obyn can be used anywhere you don't need to maximize his potential, but you can only use other heroes for perfect fits" I'm just voicing my own opinion on the matter, i think playing off-meta is way better cause people don't know what you can handle and what not, so they end up wasting lot of cash on rushes. I wasn't around for early seasons, i downloaded the game this season, but i'm almost in ZOMG Superdome so i think i'm not that bad.
